UF Receives a Grant to Help Reduce Human-Elephant Conflict in Eastern Nepal as Destruction of Lives, Homes, and Agriculture Ensue.

Dr. Kyriaki “Kiki” Kaplanidou published an article for the start of the Olympic Games on the long-term effects of the summer Games using monies from a grant from the International Olympic Committee. She has been studying the Olympics since 2004.

Dr. J.O. Spengler was elected President of the Sport and Recreation Law Association, a body of approximately 200 members whom have a shared interest in sport and recreation law.

UF tourism students and faculty will be traveling to eastern Turkey to apply regional tourism development initiatives at an important heritage site to both Turks and Armenians. The goal is to promote peace through tourism as relations are strained.
