The Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida announces that Florida’s Governor Rick Scott proclaimed May 11, 2012 as Provider Appreciation Day

New crib safety laws have been put into action. To ensure all safety procedures were met, The Early Learning Coalition used funds made available through a United Way grant to purchase and donate 173 cribs to local childcare providers.

The Early Learning Coalition of SWFL seeks volunteers as buddies for their 2011-2012 Literacy Buddy Program, a reading program for young children. 1,348 children were matched last year; 1,500 children are expected to participate this year.
