When HJL was set up to manage the metal recycling needs of the Island it very quickly pledged to have a positive impact on the local community

Local metal recycler EMR has reinforced its commitment to the emergency services by hosting a practise event for the Hereford and Worcestershire Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS.)

The latest round of fundraising at EMR has seen more than £20,000 handed over to Warrington Youth Club (WYC) since it was selected as the Head Office charity of choice in September 2012.

EMR has acquired the Sita Metal Recycling division and, as a result, has added five number depots to its UK business.

As the awards season picks up pace, EMR has recently found itself on both the giving and receiving end of a handful of accolades to honour some of the most worthwhile community involvement projects being carried out in the North West.

The company has already linked up with Warrington Collegiate to recruit 2 new Apprentices to work in their IT department and have now signed up to support the new Future Tech Studio School.

With its Head Office just up the road, pledging its support for local charity Warrington Youth Club (WYC) more than made sense to international metal recycler EMR.

The generosity of metal recycling locals has helped raise more than £1,200 in three months/to date for Jersey Hospice Care.

Area Manager Richie Muldoon presented Local Senior Officer Iain Vincent with a generous donation for the Fire Fighters Charity last week on behalf of international metal recycling company, EMR.
