This is a story of a mother's spiritual journey to healing, from the daily writings and music my son left behind. Moe's song, "Raining in Detroit" inspired me to write this book. In his voice, I heard and felt the pain of the city.

On October 6, 2011 Brian “Moe Motyka was a victim of a drive by shooting in Detroit, Michigan. The shooting occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. at Holbrook and Brush. Witnesses state that Moe was an innocent bystander and not an intended target.
