Largest Farmer Veteran Gathering in Nation to Be Held at Michigan State University

The Farmer-Veteran Coalition is now accepting applications from veterans and local active duty personnel to attend the "Armed to Farm" retreat. At the retreat they will tour sustainable livestock operations, as well as attend related workshops.

The new Farmer-Veteran Coalition Fellowship names a Navy veteran as director, announces its first grant recipient, a Purple Heart-winner who is training to become an organic farmer, and introduces its advisory board of agriculture leaders.

The Farmer-Veteran Coalition is now accepting applications from veterans and local active duty personnel to attend the "Coming Home to Farm" retreat. At the retreat they will tour organic farms, as well as learn successful marketing techniques.

The Farmer-Veteran Coalition is pleased to announce the launch of their fellowship fund which will grant up to $10,000 in cash and materials per veteran to help launch their farming careers. Also announced, is the board which will head this fund.
