ORANGE CITY – Florida Hospital Fish Memorial has donated nearly $5,000 of clinic supplies, such as exam gloves, paper for exam tables, band aids, tongue depressors and surgical tape, to local West Volusia County Public Schools.

Florida Hospital Fish Memorial is the only hospital in Volusia County to employ the Diligent Safe Patient Handing and Early Mobility Program, which is designed to help protect patients from falls and staff from injuries.

DELAND – On March 10, Florida Hospital DeLand and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial hosted the sixth annual Faith and Health 5K Road Race and Fitness Walk at Lake Beresford Park, located at 2100 Fatio Road in DeLand.

PALM COAST – Florida Hospital Flagler’s Rehabilitation Department now has a fully-equipped room for occupational therapists to treat a variety of diagnosis. It is the only one of its kind in Flagler County.

PALM COAST – With the help of Florida Hospital Flagler, approximately 700 students at Old Kings Elementary are now training for a 5K.

Anthony Tucker, MD, a Florida Hospital Flagler Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, now offers a new procedure to treat Sinusitis. The procedure, called Balloon Sinuplasty, helps patients suffering from chronic sinusitis symptoms.

In October, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial and Macy’s at Seminole Towne Center teamed up for Pink by Design, a private shopping experience that raised approximately $4,000 for breast cancer patients.

At a recent swim meet, 75 teenage swimmers put on pink swimsuits to honor breast cancer survivors and raise funds for the Florida Hospital DeLand Cancer Resource Center, which provides women with prosthetic devices, wigs and other cancer resources.

On Sunday, October 28, more than 100 people participated in Pilates and Yoga sessions at the beach to raise funds for screening mammograms, diagnostic studies and education to local women who are uninsured and seeking assistance.

Florida Hospital DeLand recently partnered with Walgreens to provide a free bedside prescription delivery for patients being discharged home.
