Horizons Savannah is thrilled to announce that its executive director, Christy Edwards, has received Horizons National’s highest honor, the Horizons Leadership Award, at a ceremony in Connecticut.

Horizons Savannah is thrilled to announce that it has chosen Pete Liakakis, Savannah’s most beloved politician, as the first-ever Horizons Savannah “Roast & Toast” honored guest at its annual gala on April 11, 2014, at Savannah Station.

What: Volunteers from the December 5th Serve for the Kids event will present a check for the proceeds to Horizons Savannah. Serve for the Kids is an annual tennis round robin tournament held to raise funds for selected children’s charities.

Horizons Savannah will host the 1st Annual "Grab a Bag for Kids" lunch & auction Sept. 18 at Vic’s on the River in historic Savannah, where 150 guests will bid on gently used designer handbags & totes. All proceeds will benefit Horizons students.

Horizons Savannah board president Tom Oxnard received the prestigious "Horizons Hero" Award from Horizons National at a ceremony in Connecticut on April 12. The award honors the hard work Mr. Oxnard has put into Horizons Savannah for nearly a decade.

Horizons Savannah will host its 3rd Annual “Honoring an Educator” Gala March 1 at the Savannah DeSoto Hilton. This year’s honoree is Dr. Annette Brock, a life-long educator who has received many awards for her scholarship and humanitarianism.

Horizons Savannah is excited to release its statistics from the recent 2012 summer enrichment program, in which students in all grades made significant gains in both reading and math.

Horizons Savannah has received a $1,500 grant from Share Our Strength’s Georgia No Kid Hungry Campaign. The grant will be used to to support Horizons’ Summer Meals Program for the upcoming summer program.
