The Independence Visitor Center Corporation (IVCC) has announced the appointment of Lauren Tosti to Director of Marketing and Communications, effective October 6, 2008.

On Wednesday, September 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, Lynne Cheney, will give a brief lecture, followed by a book signing of her newly-released children’s book at the Independence Visitor Center.

The first edition of Moon Philadelphia, written by journalist Karrie Gavin, is now available online and in bookstores nationwide. The release party will be held in the ballroom at the Independence Visitor Center on Friday, September 19, 2008.
