Legal Beagles are very surprised and extremely disappointed at the OFT's press release on bank overdraft charges which offers consumers no tangible protection against the imposition of unfair and extortionate charges.

We strongly urge the Office of Fair Trading to continue their investigation into the fairness of personal current accounts. We also urge the Governmen to take action and ensure the OFT have the necessary resources to take the investigation forwards.
