Holmes Fest 2024 – a celebration of the life and times in Portsmouth of Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes is back, featuring Mark Wingett, star of The Bill, Eastenders and Quadrophenia.

A heady mix of ghostly tales, cross-dressing, detective stories and more will be included in this year's Holmes Fest opening event, Three Cheers for Arthur Conan Doyle.

A celebration of the life and times of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his greatest creation Sherlock Holmes returns to Portsmouth, the city of the fictional detective's birth, next week.
