Literacy Volunteers of Illinois

Parlor players and experienced pros will want to compete in Literacy Volunteers of Illinois' 9th annual SCRABBLE for Literacy Challenge. Saturday October 27th from 3:00-7:30pm at Grossinger City Autoplex, 1500 N. Dayton St. Chicago, IL 60642.

AmeriCorps members, partnering with Literacy Volunteers of Illinois, are volunteering in service activities to commemorate the efforts of the late Martin Luther King Jr.

Literacy Volunteers of Illinois (LVI) recently joined twitter and is making use of the new 'list' feature to gain 800 followers.

Many of LVI's AmeriCorps members enter careers, much to the assistance of training learned in the programs. LVI's training programs teach real-life skills and attributes that help in the transition into careers.
