Maitri will be welcoming new Executive Director Anne Gimbel (first female ED in Maitri's 31 year history) and celebrating the holiday with our residents, families and friends.

The Board of Directors of Maitri Compassionate Care welcomes Anne Gimbel, M.A., LMFT, as its new Executive Director.

San Francisco's Maitri Compassionate Care has announced the appointment of Bill Musick as interim Executive Director. He will take over the reins from Michael Sorensen, who resigned for personal reasons effective June 16, 2017.

GLAAD award winning comedian Marga Gomez will be the Host for Bliss 2017. Ballet troupe Man Dance Company, Lesbian/Gay Chorus of SF and vocalist Lawrence Beamen will be the performers.

Trans author Toni Newman will be speaking at UC Davis BlaqOUT Conference on the topic of Trans Women of Color in the Workforce.

Maitri will be welcoming new Executive Director Michael Sorensen from Portland Oregon and saying farewell to retiring Executive Director Michael Smithwick at this year's open house. In 2017, Maitri will be celebrating 30 years of service.

Michael Sorensen will become new Executive Director of Maitri Compassionate Care. He replaces Michael Smithwick, who announced his retirement this summer. Please come out on Saturday, December 17, 2 pm - 5 pm, to meet the new ED at the Open House.

Emmy award winning actor/comedian Leslie Jordan will be the MC/Host for Bliss 2016. Ballet troupe Man Dance Company, Guitarist Andre Morgan and Oakland jazz vocalist Branice McKenzie will be the performers.

Maitri's Annual Holiday Open House is Saturday, December 12, 2 pm to 5 pm at our facility located at 401 Duboce Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94117. Santa Claus and his elves will be present with live performance entertainment each hour.
