Las Vegas mythology takes center stage in Mike Meier and Peter Giambalvo's satirical musical based on the lives of Siegfried and Roy

Shangri-La-La, the outrageous new comedy musical based on true events, takes the stage at the Arlington Drafthouse Theater for three nights only: July 22–24.

The comedy musical Shangri-La-La is the story of Joshua, who is thrilled to become the assistant to Las Vegas royalty Siegfried & Roy, only to find out the hard way that not all that glitters is gold.

The comedy musical Shangri-La-La tells how the careers of Siegfried and Roy evolved with the wicked history of Las Vegas... the judges of the Wild West, New York mobster Bugsy Siegel... And some things haven't changed to this day.

The new musical takes a comical view of the late Las Vegas performers Siegfried & Roy, as well as the people around them. This is the first time the show can be seen on stage, hence "previews."

Previews for the comedy musical Shangri-La-La will be on stage in the Washington, DC area. It features the Las Vegas entertainers Siegfried & Roy, the ghost of New York Mobster Bugsy Siegel, and Mephisto as the entertainers' manager.

Las Vegas magicians Siegfried & Roy are forever associated with Las Vegas. No wonder Las Vegas show host Suzy Saline invited the writer of the Shangri-La-La comedy musical to her show, "Suzy's Las Vegas."
