University Funding and Student MAP Grants Withheld by the State of Illinois

The Prisoner and Neighborhood Arts Project (PNAP) and the student club FIST (Formerly Incarcerated Standing Together) are working on campus to fight mass incarceration.

Higher Education Under Attack: What Can We Do? Chicago, IL, 03/18/2014—A colloquium in support of higher education will be held at Northeastern Illinois University (5500 N. St. Louis Ave, Chicago) on Tuesday, April 1 from 2:30-4:15 pm.

Northeastern Illinois University faculty and students received a $5000 grant to visit archives in Chicago and Washington, DC to help recover some of the hidden voices of the LGBTQ movement, particularly voices of people of color.
