Christopher Juredin has been selected by New Maritima Press to distribute the new book, Treasure Island: The Untold Story, in the British Virgin Islands.

For John Amrhein, Jr, a nearly lifetime of exploration and archival research has culminated in two books on the lost 1750 Spanish fleet. His new book, Treasure Island: The Untold Story, now takes us back to Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island.

Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island has its roots in real-life events that transpired at Ocracoke, North Carolina, centuries ago. His birthday marks the anniversary of that event.

When author, John Amrhein, Jr., was hunting for the Spanish galleon, La Galga, lost on Assateague Island, Virginia, in 1750, he needed a contemporary map that would show colonial boundaries and inlets. There was no such detailed map or chart.

A new book is out from Outer Banks author and historian, John Amrhein, Jr., called Treasure Island : The untold Story which documents a long lost history that links Hampton Roads with Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic, Treasure Island.
