Dr. Meir Stampfer, a Harvard researcher, has made important contributions to our understanding of the relationship between nutrition, health and disease prevention, particularly cancer and heart disease.

Dr. Stampfer is one of the five most cited scientists in clinical medicine over the past 20 years.

Notre Dame of Maryland University has been granted non-governmental organization status by the United Nations’ Department of Public Information, the first Maryland university to receive the designation.

Six-course, 18-credit certificate will take one year to complete.

Grant will fund renovation plan for the University's Gibbons Hall and its signature Merrick Tower.
