Rob Leatham won his 16th consecutive USPSA Single Stack National Championship this Saturday in Barry, Ill.

Team Smith & Wesson's Julie Golob won the Women’s title at the U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s Single Stack National Championship, and in doing so claimed her tenth national shooting title within USPSA.

The number of sponsors for the U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s first major championship of the year, the Area 6 Handgun Championship sponsored by Glock, has grown to 29 with the addition of five well known names from the firearms industry.

The U.S. Practical Shooting Association Area 6 Championship sponsored by Glock has picked up nine additional stage sponsors bringing the total number of corporate sponsors for the regional handgun shooting match to 24.

The U.S. Practical Shooting Association has partnered with firearms maker FNH USA and is rewarding Ariel Velasco of Texas with a brand new FNP-9 pistol for his efforts to recruit new USPSA members.

The first U.S. Practical Shooting Association regional match of the year, the Area 6 Championship sponsored by Glock, looks to kick off the championship season in strong fashion with the recent addition of eight corporate sponsors.

The list of stage sponsors for the 2010 U.S. Practical Shooting Assn. Area 6 Championship sponsored by Glock continues to grow as three more companies, Brazos Custom Gunworks, Montana Gold Bullet and Shooters Connection, sign on to support the match.

Firearms maker Springfield Armory, ammunition manufacturer Atlanta Arms & Ammo and sporting apparel maker Techwear USA will again sponsor stages at the 2010 USPSA Area 6 Championship sponsored by Glock.

The 2010 pistol shooting championship season kicks off on April 16 with the U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s (USPSA) Area 6 Regional Championship and once again Georgia-based firearms maker Glock has been named the overall match sponsor.

The U.S. Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), the national governing body for the sport of Practical Shooting in America, has announced the dates of their 2010 national championships. The nationals are expected to draw more than 1,000 shooters.
