On Saturday, June 9, 2012 the Houston Lawyers Association hosted its Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala at the Crowne Plaza Reliant Park. Attorney Evangeline Mitchell was chosen to receive the Roberson L. King Award for Excellence in Education.

The 7th Annual National Black Pre-Law Conference, the nation's premier information-sharing and networking empowerment event for aspiring Black lawyers, will take place from November 17-19, 2011 at the Hilton University of Houston Hotel.
