Young people aged 14 – 19 years old living in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham will shortly benefit from changes in the delivery of information, advice and guidance (IAG) services.

Whether they are about to leave school or are currently unemployed – Progressions 2010 is a fantastic opportunity for young people aged 14-19 to meet colleges, training providers and employers.

The ‘Response to Redundancy’ programme which is operating across South London, is offering a new programme of IT training aimed at individuals who have lost their jobs, those at risk of unemployment, and anyone who wants to update their skills.

The second national conference for ‘Employee Governors’, is to be held at Glaziers Hall, London, on Wednesday, 20 January 2010. The conference is designed specifically for school and college governors who are employees of major organisations.

Prospects has been invited to join the planning team for learning provision in the new youth offender institution being built at Belmarsh high security prison in Woolwich.

Following an extensive refurbishment the Havering Connexions Centre will be re-launching. The new centre is better equipped to support the young people of the borough to progress into further education, training and employment.

The introduction of the new Ofsted framework has brought the relationship between parents/carers and schools into even sharper focus.... ahead of the field is the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA).

Prospects is working in partnership with the Greater Manchester Challenge (GMC) to roll out the Leading Parent Partnership Award programme (LPPA) across 74 schools in ten local authority areas.

October 7th, 2009 Gloucester Connexions Centre – which is supporting the young people to progress into further education, training and employment – wasofficially opened, on Wednesday, 7th October 2009, following a major refurbishment.
