Proceeds from the Christmas tree fundraiser will support Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) agriculture education and healthy eating programs for kids.

Those who attend will experience a day of free agricultural activities and tours and learn about the origins of their food.

This marks the highest attendance since Santa Barbara County Farm Day began.

During Farm Day, more than 15 Ventura County farms and agricultural businesses open their doors and invite the public to learn how their food is grown.

Over 15 local farms and agricultural organizations are opening their doors on Farm Day, offering free tours, tastings, giveaways and kid-friendly activities.

SEEAG has taught over 100,000 elementary school students in Central and Southern California about the origins of their food and healthy eating.

Gill's Onions will match all donations up to $15,000 for every dollar donated to Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG).

For a $35 donation, participants can select a combination of 12 small plants to fill two six-pack containers.

SEEAG is looking for farmers, agricultural-related businesses, and others to become event sponsors and participants.

SEEAG's programs are 100 percent cost-free for students, teachers and schools.
