A patent has been issued for ShowerTan's home tanning device that also benefits many other forms of cosmetic and therapeutic skincare treatments. The company has an improved concept design covered by the patent and plans to expand through licensing.

The ShowerTan home tanning system that turns any shower into a spray tanning booth was featured on NBC’s Today Show in a “Best At-Home Spa Treatments” segment which aired March 13, 2008. Twin models were used to demonstrate the system.
