Local residents can join in the nationwide America Recycles Day on November 15 by recycling gently-used clothing, furniture, books and household items at St. Vincent de Paul stores in Seattle/King County. The Day encourages greater recycling efforts.

St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle/ King County is helping thousands of homeless and needy during Thanksgiving Week in a multi-faceted outreach. Food, clothing and monetary donations needed to help neighbors in need.

Safeco Insurance Foundation gives $15,000 to St. Vincent de Paul to help neighbors in need. Aid will help prevent eviction, hunger, and utility shut-offs as more people call St. Vincent de Paul for help.

201 locations in the US are hosting St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor Walks on or around September 25 to raise funds to help to neighbors in need facing hard times. Four Washington Walks take place in Burien, Everett, Tacoma and Sequim (9/26).

PrepSportswear is donating more than 130 boxes of new, unused apparel to St. Vincent De Paul at 11 AM Wednesday at the company's headquarters: 4663 Colorado Ave S. Seattle

St. Vincent de Paul Society of Seattle/King County received 140,000 vinyl records donated by Bop Street Records of Ballard. Pacific Logistics, Two Men & a Truck and Rontra Freight Inc. donated five truckloads of service to the charity's warehouse.
