Five members of law enforcement serving Omaha, Nebraska and the surrounding area were recognized by the non-profit The Kim Foundation for their commitment to the foundation and those impacted by mental illness and suicide.

The Kim Foundation's annual luncheon brings community together to educate and break down mental health stigma

The Kim Foundation will hold its annual luncheon, "A Time for Hope and Healing", on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Embassy Suites La Vista in La Vista, Nebraska.

A conference will be held in Omaha, Nebraska featuring speakers and panel discussion focusing on the mental health topic of suicide postvention. The public is invited to this free event.

An effort to educate the public and prevent suicide is being driven by a local non-profit in conjunction with a number of respected health and human service organizations.

The Kim Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of those impacted by mental illness, will hold Making Hope Happen, a luncheon and panel discussion addressing mental health and the work environment on Monday, October 7, 2013.

A Nebraska non-profit that focuses on mental health, The Kim Foundation, has named Julia Hebenstreit its executive director. The Kim Foundation advocates and provides education and support to improve the lives of those impacted by mental illness.

Former Nebraska football player Anthony Steels, who played under Tom Osborne and in the NFL, was named the spokesperson for “Don’t Be Sidelined." The campaign promotes that mental illness is treatable and encourages those impacted to seek help.

A Nebraska statewide public awarenes campaign focusing on mental health, "Don't Be Sidelined" was the featured community organization during a recent Omaha Storm Chasers minor league baseball game at Werner Park, home to the ball club.
