The national winners of the 13th annual Reach for the Stars ~ Rocket Competition celebrated at Space Camp / U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Contestants in the 13th annual Reach for the Stars ~ National Rocket Competition (ages 10 to 18) built and launched their own solid-fuel powered rocket at an event held in their area.

National winners of the 12th annual Reach for the Stars ~ National Rocket Competition (age 10 to 18) celebrated at Space Camp / U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Huntsville, Alabama.

The RFTS ~ National Rocket Competition is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) educational challenge.

The six RFTS national winners (age 10 to 18) will receive a medal at the Saturn V building and launch their rockets from Homer Hickam Field under an 'October Sky' in 'Rocket City', Huntsville, Alabama.

Building and launching a solid-fuel powered rocket is a fantastic way to turn kids on to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) subjects.

The national winners (age 10 to 18) of the 11th annual Reach for the Stars ~ Rocket Competition celebrated at Space Camp / US Space & Rocket Center under an October Sky.

As part of the celebration they get to launch their rockets from Homer Hickam Field** under an Sky. The winners will be presented a Space Shuttle Challenger commemorative medal with certificate signed by Astronaut Jon McBride.

The four national winners (age 10 to 18) of the 9th annual Reach for the Stars ~ Rocket Competition will travel with their families to Kennedy Space Center-Visitor Complex, Cape Canaveral, Florida to celebrate.
