UltraVision CLPL, Cambridge, UK, & Taiwan Macro Vision Corporation (“TMVC”), Taipei, Taiwan, announced today the launch of iDealsoft™ contact lenses in Taiwan.

UltraVision CLPL is taking the manufacture of contact lenses to the next level and in support of this has employed Clinical Director, Lynn White MSc FCOptom and Engineering Manager, Nick Stonehouse.

The contact lens company UltraVision CLPL has been named as a finalist in the Manufacturer of the Year Awards 2011. The awards celebrate the strength and diversity of UK Manufacturing.

A series of online training videos has been launched by UltraVision CLPL for KeraSoft IC, the specialist soft contact lens designed to give patients with keratoconus and other irregular cornea conditions clear, comfortable vision all day long.

Bausch + Lomb announced today a global licensing agreement to market KeraSoft® contact lenses throughout the world.

Bach’s CEO, Jürgen Schofeld and Karin Pintore, Specialist Lens Sales Advisor, visited UltraVision’s head office last week where J Keith Lomas, UltraVision’s CEO, presented them with a trophy to commemorate their 20 year partnership.

The official presentation of The Queen's Awards for Enterprise took place on 23rd November 2010 at UltraVision's H.O. Her Majesty’s representative, Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Sir Samuel Whitbread, presented the Company with an official scroll

Indian professional cricketer, Abhishek Chakraborty, diagnosed with Keratoconus 10 years ago, recently had his eyesight restored with KeraSoft® contact lenses. Unable to see with spectacles, Chakraborty wore RGP contact lenses to correct his vision.

2010 is a special year for UltraVision; in April the Leighton Buzzard based contact lens manufacturer received The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: Innovation, specifically for KeraSoft® as well as launching a series of KeraSoft® IC Workshops.

Cambridge and Leighton Buzzard based contact lens manufacturer, UltraVision CLPL, is supporting the Irregular Cornea Foundation in a charity bike ride on Sunday 25th July 2010. The organisers of the event are Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
