Venice Area Mobile Meals, Inc.

At a Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of Venice Area Mobile Meals, Inc. held on August 1, 2013, the Board accepted the resignation of Nigel Fairbank, and appointed Donald Dwiel as President, by a majority vote of its Board of Directors.

Additional drivers, substitutes and data entry volunteers are needed to immediately assist with meal delivery services for the greater Venice, FL area. Preference will be given to full time residents who can volunteer for a few hours, one day a week.

On March 13, 2013, The Community Foundation at The Venice Golf and Country Club awarded grants to 15 non-profit organizations totaling $40,000. 33 applicants had applied for grants during this grant cycle. Venice Area Mobile Meals, Inc.

Venice Area Mobile Meals, Inc. is pleased to announce its final report and impact of a $20,000 grant awarded in June 2012 by Gulf Coast Community Foundation.

The 2013 John Clay Memorial CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, February 24th, at 3:00 p.m. Walkers will begin their 1 or 3 mile walk starting at the gazebo in Centennial Park in downtown Venice, FL.

Venice Area Mobile Meals, Inc. has taken storm preparedness steps ahead of Isaac’s potential threat to the Florida Gulf Coast. Meal delivery is cancelled for Monday, August 27, 2012. Monday's meal will be delivered on Saturday August 25, 2012.
