Two not-for-profits jion forces in a day long event that fly over 65 kids ages 7-16 in a historic bi-pane-airplane for the most inspiration time of their lives. The Wathen Foundation and the Planetary Society bring over 225 people to fly and meet.

Wathen Foundation volunteer, a Jet Blue First Officer, flys a U.S. airplane from Ohio to Afganistan to be used to train pilots for that country. Flying with two other airplanes their trip was a once in a lifetime opportunity for this young pilot.

Students begin the program with simple stick models before progressing to small craft powered by rubber bands, eventually working their way up to balsa and tissue models with gas or electric powered motors. They learn to handle radio control models.
