Welch Packaging

Welch Packaging Group, Inc., headquartered in Elkhart Indiana, recently completed the acquisition of Cooper Container II.  "Cooper II is a corrugated sheet plant strategically located near Nashville, serving the growing industrial base in Tennessee.

We here at Welch don't look at service like as obligation. We consider it an opportunity to help those around us. One of the opportunities we have faithfully served for nearly 20 years is the Toys for Tots Foundation.

Welch Packaging Group has acquired PackSpec in Romulus, Michigan, serving the greater Detroit market.  Packaging Specialties is a large corrugated sheet plant that has been owned by the Tabor family for the past 54 years.

Welch Packaging started their corrugator a little over one year ago. "We want to come up with special board grades and experiment with different paper weights and differentiate ourselves though paper technology," said CEO Scott Welch.
