International placement provider now offers medical, nursing and midwifery students the chance to combine high-quality electives with a fascinating insight into the challenges of healthcare delivery in Southeast Asia’s most beautiful destination.

Work the World are preparing for the launch of their 2012 Dental Outreach Project. The unique student placement programme aims to tackle the lack of dental care available to rural communities in developing countries.

British company Work the World launch nine projects across Ghana, India, Nepal and Tanzania. Working with in-country dental hospitals, students will offer screening, treatment and oral hygiene workshops to resource-poor areas with no access to care.

Work the World Dental Outreach Programme 2009 found that 76% of children in rural Kerala need dental treatment. The project continues in July 2010 and Work the World are offering one person the chance to join the Dental Outreach team for free.
