Each year, an estimated 1 billion pounds of pesticides are applied to U.S. farms, forests, lawns and golf courses out of the 5.6 billion pounds worldwide.

The Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs (AFOP) is seeking to ensure that the farmworker community continues to have access to farm safety resources and advocacy.

Every year, children across the United States, ranging in ages from 10-18 submit descripted essays or telling posters about working in the fields of America as part of the annual Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs' (AFOP) Migrant and Seasonal.
