It was 13 year ago that former track and field runner Adam Gorlitsky was robbed of his ability to do something we all take for granted – walk.

It was a great honor for LEAP Foundation DC to attend the Latino Student Fund Gala in celebration of the organization's 25thanniversary.

It brings us great pleasure to announce a $200 scholarship grant in support of the endeavors of Lacy Simone Jones. This young woman is a shining example of the young men and women that we, at LEAP Foundation DC, aim to raise up.

In his younger years, he was dubbed a "Renaissance Man," paving the way for new beginnings and a regeneration for future leaders.

Dr. Clayton Lawrence, President and CEO of LEAP LLC, was honored to attend a private reception, hosted by Dr. Canjura de Centeno, on February 13 at the Embassy of El Salvador, in celebration of the Latino Student Fund 25thanniversary.

For the past decade, LEAP Foundation DC has been advocating for the health and wellness of community members, offering services specifically aimed at creating a positive future for underserved and disadvantaged youth.

This year's LEAP Foundation DC Toy Drive and Holiday Celebration, held Saturday, Dec. 15, was nothing short of a miracle for some in attendance. In its 10th year, the event, hosted by Dr.

LEAP Foundation DC is pleased to announce Rashard Barnes as the recipient of this year's Eleanor Holmes Norton Scholarship. Barnes is a junior at KIPP DC College Preparatory.

Student athlete Rashard Barnes ran the longest distance the aspiring pro-basketball player has ever completed at the Navy Air Force Half Marathon Sunday, September 17.
