The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife now allows anglers to keep a third hatchery-born steelhead in the Clackamas, Sandy and lower Willamette rivers due to the best run in years.

The landlocked sockeye salmon caught June 13 weighed 9.67 pounds. If approved by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) as expected, it will top the 22-year-old record -- a 9 pound, 6 ounce kokanee caught in Canada's Okanagan Lake.
