Community Music Center

On Monday, May 14, Community Music Center (CMC) will a put on a night of entertainment at Yoshi’s San Francisco in support of music education. Vocalist Wesla Whitfield and pianist Mike Greensill will headline.

Community Music Center, a non profit music school and performance space, has received a $15,000 Learning in the Arts grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to help support three of its youth scholarship programs.

On Monday, May 10, Community Music Center (CMC) will make its premiere appearance at Yoshi’s San Francisco. CMC’s annual fundraiser provides scholarships for low-income youth and features jazz and cabaret vocalist Paula West!

On Monday, May 4, 2009, Community Music Center will celebrate its 88th birthday at San Francisco’s newest cabaret, the dazzling Rrazz Room at the Hotel Nikko. CMC’s annual fundraiser supports scholarships for low-income youth.

The Mission Advisory Council will provide CMC with guidance around neighborhood and Latino community involvement. The organizations represented support of the school’s mission of making music accessible to everyone in the community.

Event celebrates Stephen Shapiro’s 30 years of leadership. It funds scholarships for low-income youth, and features vocalist Paula West and young musicians program.
