It’s official! Conservancy of Southwest Florida has earned Family Friendly Workplace certification for 15 years in a row. Each year the Naples Alliance for Children searches for businesses of all sizes that love families and show it.

Conservancy of Southwest Florida has announced the Eagle Award winners for the ninth annual Magic Under the Mangroves fundraiser, which will take place March 7, 2013, returning again to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center.

Conservancy of Southwest Florida FREE Earth Day Festival April 21. Over 40 partners and vendors have joined. Plus free passes to State Parks with 20 clean plastic shopping bags brought in for recycling.

The earth-friendly event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature special environmental exhibits, vendors, children’s carnival, face-painting, educational presentations, live entertainers and guest speakers.

Conservancy Nature Center will reopen to the public sometime in the second quarter of 2012, once the Allyn Family Docks are completed for electric boat cruises and the Dalton Discovery Center and von Arx Wildlife Hospital are opened.

Dr. Rachel Goldfarb has joined the Conservancy of Southwest Florida as staff veterinarian for the new von Arx Wildlife Hospital.

The annual event honors and recognizes those Conservancy members who have provided long term support for ongoing Conservancy initiatives and programs.
