The Domestic Energy Producers Alliance condemns the Obama Administration for unilaterally acting to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline project.

DEPA has been at the forefront of the exports issue for the past three years, urging policymakers to allow the US to export its light, sweet oil and unleash American competitiveness on global energy markets.

For 40 years, lifting the US export ban was not seriously discussed until DEPA undertook a comprehensive education campaign to build the intellectual and public policy basis for lifting the ban. However, there is more work to be done.
