Eco-Vision Sustainable Learning Center

Community Green Energy will retire 87 megawatt hours of 2010 Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), which equate to more than 97,000 pounds of carbon dioxide and which were purchased by EcoFair360 to minimize the environmental impact of the Fair.

The Eco-Vision Sustainable Learning Center has been nominated for The 2011 Governor’s Tourism Stewardship Award. This award, which honors a business or community that uses or promotes sustainable practices, will be presented on March 8.

Past president of the Lakeland Builders Association will act as liaison to the business community help build attendance and local economic impact of the Fair, which will take place at the Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn, WI on July 8-10, 2011.

The Olson family, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, are the winners of the 2010 EcoFair360 Solar Roof Sweepstakes. They will receive a 1 kilowatt solar panel, converter box, mounting hardware and all necessary wiring.
