No one wants to fish, swim or boat in polluted water. The health and value of the New York's inland and coastal waters are constantly threatened by pollution from industry, agriculture, and urbanization.

The South Shore Blueway officially opens on Saturday, June 4 connecting paddler access in the western bays of the South Shore Estuary Reserve.

Going Coastal has developed and launched a Quick Response enabled electronic map of Long Island pumpout facilities.

Grassroots nonprofit, Going Coastal has created a handy map showing the exact locations of over 100 pumpout facilities in the Long island Sound and waters around Long Island.
