HOPE Sheds Light

The annual walk, hosted by HOPE Sheds Light, provides hope and support to families at the Jersey Shore that are impacted by substance use disorder.

HOPE Sheds Light/RAFTS observes International Overdose Awareness Day, The nonprofits displayed 1,626 purple flags in Manasquan – one for each life lost to an opioid overdose in New Jersey this year.

The annual walk in Seaside Heights, hosted by HOPE Sheds Light and RAFTS, will provide hope and support to families at the Jersey Shore that are impacted by substance use disorder.

Lisa Kline was the first student to graduate from The Raymond J. Lesniak Experience Strength & Hope Recovery High School, and recently received a degree in Accounting from Rutgers University.

The barbecue was part of the nonprofit's 12-month Recovery Speaks initiative to help celebrate recovery and reduce the stigma surrounding substance use disorder.

Family support meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of every month at JBJ Soul Kitchen Red Bank starting June 16.

The OceanFirst Foundation grant will be used toward HSL's All Recovery Family Support Program.

The golf outing was held in partnership with Recovery Advocates for the Shore, Inc. (RAFTS).

The events are part of the nonprofit's Recovery Speaks initiative to celebrate recovery and reduce the stigma surrounding substance use disorder.

The golf outing will be held on May 3, 2021 at Pine Barrens Golf Club in Jackson.
