Hughes and Salvidge Demolition

Hughes and Salvidge secure the contract to demolish Building A2 for Sellafield Limited on the Capenhurst Site near Chester.

At 8.15am this Sunday morning, Hughes and Salvidge successfully grounded one of the few remaining structures, a 45m high reinforced concrete chimney, at their Outokumpu project in Sheffield by means of explosive demolition.

Hughes and Salvidge are delighted to have been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s Specialist Awards – Health and Safety and Business Growth.

Hughes and Salvidge is one of the latest group of successful companies to join a leading edge scheme, designed to help industry improve its safety record.

Hughes and Salvidge successfully tendered for this multi-million pound project and mobilised at the start of May 2011.
