In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Knoxville Writers' Guild will feature award-winning poets Connie Jordan Green and Art Stewart during its April program.

The Knoxville Writers' Guild is thrilled to announce submissions are being accepted now through midnight, Tuesday, June 30 for its 2015 writing contest.

Pam Strickland, former popular op-ed political columnist for the "Knoxville News Sentinel," will teach a workshop on writing persuasively for op-eds and other purposes from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, March 21 at Remedy Coffee, 125 W. Jackson Ave.

The Knoxville Writers’ Guild is excited to announce the winners of its annual writing contest. Out of the hundreds of entries received, more than 15 writers were selected for recognition in the 2014 Knoxville Writers’ Guild Contests.

USA Today bestselling novelist Pamela Schoenewaldt will teach a workshop on improving dialogue from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 28 at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay St.

Award-winning author Elizabeth Gentry will speak about 'place' and how it informed her dark fairy tale "Housebound" at the Knoxville Writers' Guild's August program. The event, which will be open to the public, begins at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug.

Submissions for the annual Knoxville Writers' Guild writing contest will be accepted now through June 15. Contestants may enter their work in several categories including poetry, creative nonfiction, novel excerpt, one-act play and screenwriting.
