There are a number of schemes designed to get the elderly and disabled out and about rather than be confined to their homes.

Latest figures, as reported by The Sun, show that nearly 50% of Britain’s population are classed as overweight, with a further 17% of males and 21% of females classed as obese.

The BBC have reported that elderly and disabled people are regularly targeted by door to door mobility aids salesmen who charge up to 50% more than on the high street or online.
