The Friends of John Coltrane Memorial Concert (fJCMC) is pleased to announce their plans for this year's 37th Annual John Coltrane Memorial Concert, which will celebrate and honor the 50th anniversary of Coltrane's majestic suite "A Love Supreme."

Time to mark the calendar for the ninth annual HONK! Festival (www.honkfest.org) which will take place from October 10-12 throughout the neighborhoods of Somerville, Cambridge, and Boston, MA.

The award-winning Bread & Puppet Theater takes its annual Labor Day weekend "little big tour" down to the Boston area, this year not only bringing a new "Insurrection Oratorio," but also their new "The Nothing Is Not Ready Circus."

With "Waiting for Gilgamesh: Scenes from Iraq," Fort Point Theatre Channel (FPTC) continues its collaboration with the Joiner Institute for the Study of War and Social Consequences. Runs June 26-28, 2014

"Doubles, Demons, and Dreamers" : a live art festival of comedy, drag, and solo performance. Presented by Sleeping Weazel. Runs in Boston from June 12 through 21, 2014.

The show is a fundraiser benefitting Open Media Boston (www.openmediaboston.org), the non-profit, metropolitan progressive news outlet. The six year old digital publication features “news from the ground up.”
