Capital Region Stonewall Democrats members in good standing were surveyed and voted unanimously to endorse Linda Small for PA Senate in District 28, during the special election on March 18, 2014.

As the result of actions at a membership meeting to review the organization’s bylaws, the active membership of the Capital Region Stonewall Democrats voted to re-endorse Dan Miller for Harrisburg Mayor in the November 5th election.

SCOTUS concluded their session without rendering an opinion on Prop 8 and DOMA today. However they added 6/25 to their opinion schedule. Despite not having a decision, the local LGBTQ community & Supporters, will rally tonight in Harrisburg.

Tomorrow is the last scheduled announcement day for the Supreme Court, in anticipation of DOMA and Prop 8 rulings, the LGBTQ community will rally at Federal Courthouse, 3rd and Walnut Streets, Harrisburg, PA from 5p-7p.

Rep. Brian Sims, 182nd Legislative District, 1st member of PA legislature to be elected as an out gay man, and co-sponsor of HB300, joins members of ME4 PA, ACLU, Equality PA and other organizations as a guest speaker at the LGBT Rally for Equality.

June 22, ME4PA will join forces with Delaware Valley United Americans, Philadelphia Summit, ACLU, PSEC, Capital Region Stonewall Democrats, Equality PA & more to speak in support of pending legislation in the PA General Assembly.

On Saturday, June 22, 10 AM -2 PM, leaders from Marriage Equality for PA will gather in support of marriage equality, an end to legal discrimination against the LGBT community, and an end to bullying against LGBT students in PA schools.

In support of Marriage Equality and in anticipation of the DOMA and Prop 8 decisions, a SCOTUS Decision Day Rally is planned for June 24, 2013 on the steps of the Federal Courthouse at 3rd and Walnut Streets, Harrisburg, PA starting a 5pm.

This day in history: May 14, 1974, the Equality Act was presented in Washington, DC and 39 years later, we are still fighting for the same legal protections that every other Pennsylvanian receives.
