WTMY radio (1280 AM) has a new owner and a new format. The station’s format features songs of the “Big Band” era and “American Popular Standards”.

In the current climate of exploding technology and new media, the Broadcasters Club of Florida will explore the many challenges and changes to the broadcasting industry at its luncheon meeting on Friday, Nov. 8 at the SaraBay Country Club.

The Broadcasters Club of Florida opens its 2013-14 season with its first luncheon on Friday, October 11th at the SaraBay Golf Club in Sarasota. WWSB-TV (Sarasota) VP and GM Jeff Benninghoff will be the featured speaker.

A former network president, an award-winning radio commentator, news anchors, sportscasters, writers, and producers. These are just some of the members of the Sarasota-based Broadcasters Club of Florida.
