Peace Islands Institute's 5th Annual Award Ceremony was held on June 3rd, 2012 at Hilton Hasbrouck Heights. Over 200 guests and many dignitaries joined PII to applaud accomplishments of the honorees.

Houston University's Gülen Institute bestowed awards on 35 young people from 65 countries and 45 US states for their winning essays on how to address crimes against children around the world on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Formosa Institute and Taiwan Association of Islamic Studies (TAIS) organize a conference titled "Hizmet Movement and the Thought and Teachings of Fethullah Gülen: Contributions to Multiculturalism and Global Peace" to be held on December 8, 2012

The Punjab University conferred an honorary doctorate upon Turkish scholar, writer and opinion leader Fethullah Gulen in a ceremony at the Undergraduate Study Centre on Thursday.

Peace Islands Institute hosted Dr. James Harrington on a "Book Conversations" program on March 1st 2012. Journalist/Writer Aydogan Vatandas interviewed Dr. James Harrington on his book titled "The Political Trials and Times of Fethullah Gulen".

Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew praised well-respected Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen for his peace efforts around the world after receiving one of the Roosevelt Institute's Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Awards.

Catholic Academy a conference hosted in Stuttgart together with the Gülen movement in Germany focused on Christian and Islamic initiatives in public welfare efforts. The story gives clues about Gulen movement's role in Muslim's integration.
