Skynear Designs Gallery welcomed nearly two-hundred fifty guests to its gallery opening on Tuesday night. On display was the much-anticipated Britto + Skynear exhibit, which featured artwork by the internationally acclaimed Pop Artist Romero Britto.

U.S. Rep. Ed Towns convenes a diverse panel of experts to address the staggering rate of African American youth in the juvenile justice system. Etan Thomas, Mayor Goode and other experts will examine the issues facing youth and offer solutions.

The leading neo-pop artist of the 21st Century features an original collection in the Skynear Designs Gallery. Also on exhibit are one of a kind artwork from renowned expressionist painters, printmakers and surrealist sculptors.

Rep. Towns is convening a group of experts to examine the impact of social welfare policies on African American families at a time when the economic downturn takes a disproportionate toll on the African American community.

U.S. Rep. Towns will host a forum at the CBCF Annual Legislative Conference entitled, “An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Reentry Programs,” to explore pressing issues facing youth and best practices in juvenile justice prevention.
