Multi-faith Organization Will Urge Lawmakers to Support Living Wage for 1,500 Airport Workers

Christian, Jewish, Islamic leaders demand living wages for airport workers. Thousands to gather on April 21st to urge action from City Council and Mayor.

POWER, a multi-racial, multi-faith advocacy group, will host "Dignity of Work: A Service of Celebration and Action" to promote local hiring and living wage enforcement at the Philadelphia International Airport.

Immediately following public hearings on enforcement of the City's Living Wage Ordinance on Tuesday, POWER Clergy Leaders will Hold Press Conference to lift up the need to pay family-sustaining wages on all city-supported contracts or projects.

A diverse group of more than 30 congregations across Philadelphia have committed to use their worship services over the next two weekends to register all their members, ensure all have proper photo ID and get commitments that they will vote Nov. 6.
