The first National Conference of OPJIT on "Technical Education" was held on Oct 8-9, 2010 here in Raigarh . The focal theme of the conference was "Opportunities and Challenges in Contemporary Scenario".

Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) has successfully commissioned the RH Degasser in Steel Melting Shop at their Raigarh Plant for manufacturing of rail steel and other special grades on 19-12-2007.
