Irwin Jacobs, Leonard Lavin, Ralph Rubio, Gene Ray among local entrepreneurs that star in film

Combined expertise of eight new members will help grow San Diego’s venture community.

Three of San Diego’s most innovative and fundable companies, Blurtopia, Cypher Genomics, and GroundMetrics will compete to win their share of $17,500 at San Diego Venture Group’s PitchFest 2012 event Thursday, December 13.

SDVG’s PitchFest competition grants seed money to winning companies that are first screened by a committee, then selected by judges, and ultimately voted upon by audience members at the annual PitchFest dinner.

Entrepreneurs compete for $35,000.00 in funding through the PitchFest program; a panel decides the semi-finalists who are then awarded funding by audience votes at the December PitchFest event.

Three of San Diego’s most innovative and fundable companies, SwoopThat LLC, Biosilo Foods Inc. dba Gamer Grub, and Deal Current Network Inc., will compete to win $17,500 at San Diego Venture Group’s PitchFest 2011 event Thursday, November 17.
