i/o Ventures, Scripped and Talenthouse launch a speaker series focused on entertainment and tech. John August (writer of "Big Fish") will be in San Francisco on July 7th, followed by Dana Brunetti (producer of "The Social Network") on July 21st.

Alex Albrecht, co-creator of Diggnation, is producing a script found on Scripped.com using crowdfunding from IndieGoGo. This marks the first time ever that a film production will be based on a crowdsourced screenplay using crowdsourced funding.
